Blog Action Day 2008: Poverty

It is that time of the year again, where a bunch of blogs work together to discuss a global issue. Last year we talked about the environment and this year the subject is Poverty. I’ve already registered my blog to participate and have posted a banner on the side over there (—>). I haven’t decided what to write about yet, but just wanted to help spread the word about what’s coming up. So if you haven’t registered your blog to participate, make sure you do at blogactionday.org. Remember you don’t have to be a scientist or socio-political major to have a voice regarding these global issues. Last year I chose a form of literature to discuss nature and the environment. I haven’t decided what book in particular (or article or something) I am going to use, but you can be certain that it’ll be in some form of literature that tends to lean more towards the creative than factual or scientific (not to say that it won’t be either of those, just not as prominent).

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Just make sure to get your blog signed up and rearing to go for October 15th’s Blog Action Day!

  1. Always glad to see another perspective on global issues. Despite your media not being based completely on science or non-fiction, literary analysis on a fiction work regarding poverty is just as useful and interesting to help spread awareness of the issue at hand. 🙂

  2. I agree. And thank you. 🙂

  3. omg.. good work, man
